Our Terms and Conditions
Crew numbers – Your charter costs include a commercially endorsed skipper and host, all prices stated make provision for this.
The skipper – If you do have any problems or question during the charter the skipper is your go to person. In most instances a solution will be found quickly.
The skipper is in charge of the Yacht and everybody onboards safety and this has to be his priority.
If the skipper decides it is necessary to re-arrange a port of call for reasons beyond our control including the weather we are unable to offer a refund or compensation.
We aim to make your charter hassle free, exciting, informative and most of all lots fun. Please do read this information yourself and forward on to all patrons joining you on your special day. Sorry we know there’s a lot to read and in all honesty we have never had to fall back on our terms and conditions as all our passengers have been fantastic ! But we feel its only fair to try and cover all eventualities to avoid any confusion on your charter day.
Sea sickness – If you suffer with or have previously please consider this may not be the best day out. They say there are two stages to sea sickness. One where you feel you might die and two where you wish you would. We advice guests to take sea sickness tablets 6 hours before departure. If you are unfortunately sick other than in the toilet itself being a charter vessel we would have to get the yacht professionally cleaned and this would be a chargeable event. Min £200
Our payment terms and cancellations – A £500 non refundable deposit secures your booking date. Full payment is due no later than 30 days prior to the commencement of your charter date. Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the start date of your charter will result in a loss of deposit. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start date will result in loss of 65% of the cost of your charter. Should the dates be later book by someone else the cancellation will be dealt with as though it were made more than 30days prior to commencement of your charter.
Forced cancellation – If your charter is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control we will offer an alternative mutually suitable date for you or if requested a full refund. In the event of a foreshortening of your charter day we will offer either a pro-rata refund or hours made up on a mutually suitable date.
Damages – You are fully liable for any damage you or your fellow guests cause to the boat. There will be a pre departure briefing covering all the relevant boats systems and if you have any questions please ask. To avoid doubt this does includes damage from putting foreign objects into any of the toilets. The toilets onboard are full size but they are still choosy about what they digest without causing issues. Normal waste and toilet paper is fine so please relax, but anything else will cause a problem, please ask your your crew any questions and they will be happy to advise.
Disability – Boats are not ideally suited to those with mobility problems. Things we would like you to consider are getting on and off the boat, tackling the stairs on board, doorways and our toilet compartments with restricted space. We want to extend the Marmoris charter experience to as many people as possible on an inclusive basis but please be aware of the above. If you would like more information please do get in contact.
Medical Conditions – If you do have a Medical conditions it’s essential you make us aware. All information will be treated in strict confidence but it is important we know just in case you fall ill whilst on board when we maybe some distance away from immediate assistance. We do have means of radio contact with the emergency services at all times but at sea help may take longer to arrive than when on dry land. Whilst we have basic first aid facilities on board and both the skipper and crew will have basic first aid training we are not able to provide medical support to ongoing conditions.
Abusive behaviour – We will not tolerate any form of abusive behaviour towards our skipper or crew members. Any such behaviour will result in the immediate abandonment of your charter day without a refund.
You will be disembarked at the nearest port we consider safe and the remainder of your charter day will be forfeited without a refund.
Any suspected drug use on board will result in the action stated above with no exceptions. We will not tolerate drugs being consumed or transported on our charters.
Smoking – Smoking is not permitted inside the boat.
There are some designated areas outside the boat which will be pointed out by your crew. The cockpit and bellow deck areas are no smoking.
Any damage caused by smoking will be charged at cost to repair or replace. In the rare event of a customer being found to have smoked on board there will be a charge for cleaning. This charge is a minimum of £300 and there will be no exceptions to this rule.
Life jackets – You will be fitted with a lifejacket before the safety briefing, you are welcome to wear during your charter day. If you would rather not wear your lifejacket and the skipper agrees its safe to do so they will be stored in the lifejacket locker. Our lifejackets are activated by a good tug on the cord with a red arrow pointing downwards. If a lifejacket it inflated outside of the skippers instruction or during non emergency situations at £100 charge will be payable to have it sent off and re gasses.
Mini Marmoris guests – Any damage caused by guests of any size will be charged at full cost to repair or replace. We do not impose a minimum child age as we feel good behaviour is not dependent on a child’s age. Notwithstanding damage your safety onboard must be our number one priority and an unruly child can be a hazard on board a boat. If on the rare occasion your charter skipper deems it necessary to abandon your charter due to a child’s behaviour we will disembark you at the nearest port we deem is safe too and no refund will be given.
Drinks on board – It is strictly forbidden for passengers to bring acholic drinks onto the yacht. We have responsibility for the safety of the vessel and all passengers onboard. We will offer guests a selection of acholic drinks from our onboard drinks menu. It is very dangerous being drunk on board (and you will want to remember your special day) so your charter skipper does reserve the right to withhold alcoholic drinks should he deem it necessary. All hot and soft drinks are included in the charter cost and will be available throughout your charter day.If any passengers behaviour is deemed to put the vessel, other passengers or crew at risk the charter will be abandoned and you will be disembarked at the nearest port we deem is safe to do so and no refund will be given.
Cancellation of your charter due to mechanical failure – Explorer is a well maintained Yacht supplied by Fairline yachts, one of the most respected motor yacht builders in the world. Mechanical breakdown issues are rare but can happen, in the event of such a failure we will make every effort to continue with your charter providing it is safe to do so. In the event of a cancellation or partial cancellation any refunds will be limited to the cost of charter or any unexpired part of your charter. Where possible we will offer alternative arrangements.
Prices are in pounds sterling.
