Frequently Asked Questions
Please see below for some of the more frequent questions asked by our clientele, if you have any questions please feel free to give us a call or drop us a message.
General
Do I need any previous boating experience?
Not at all, for a large percentage of our guests Lady B is their first introduction into luxury boating.
Where do Marmoris charters disembark from?
Our home port is Chichester marina; however, we do depart from Gunwharf Quays (Portsmouth) Ocean village (Southampton) Lymington (New Forest)
What if the weather is bad?
Whilst it is of course nice to have sunshine, blue skies and a light breeze, the traditional British weather with wind and rain can make for just as good a day out on the waves. Some clients have commented its theses days they have enjoyed the most! We will make a call on the weather 24hours before departure.
Will I get wet or cold?
Our aim is for you and your guests to have a fun, exciting day out. Your safety and comfort are our priority, we will always make sure you are warm and if the rain comes, we will button things up quickly. That’s not to say we won’t experience sea spray during the trip!
What should I wear?
Flat shoes are a must! No high heels please.
We suggest you wear layers so you can add or remove to keep you comfortable. We have plenty of storage so bring spares, swimmers ect..
Will my charter be cancelled due to bad weather?
Thanks to the fantastic protection the Isle of White offers the Solent, it’s unlikely we will need to cancel your charter. However, if we judge the conditions to be too windy and would detract from the day’s enjoyment, we will re-schedule to a mutually suitable day.
What party sizes do you cater for?
Up to 12 guests and two crew per vessel and multiple yachts can be made available for your special day so no one is left behind. Whether it’s a romantic trip for two, a surprise engagement or large party of up to 40 we can accommodate you all.
Can we consume our OWN alcohol onboard?
You are welcome to bring drinks onboard, we will have fridge space and our onboard ice maker available to you.
Please note, we do monitor consumption to keep our passengers, crew and vessel safe.
Can we purchase alcohol onboard?
No, we provide our guests with unlimited soft drinks and hot drinks during the day and you are welcome to bring drinks onboard, NO RED WINE PLEASE. Please be aware that due to the environment we operate in, we reserve the right to withhold alcohol from guests if we feel their consumption may put them, fellow guests or crew at risk. (we are relaxed and not overzealous, we will only intervein where needed)
